Dogs have been bred for thousands of years. Humans like to classify everything that they know. It is a better practice for the ease in the future. There are a lot of dog breeds on the planet earth. Some of them are purebred dog breeds, and some are mix breeds. Crossbreeding is a process in which dogs of two different breeds are combined to make a new dog breed.
There are some categories in the dog breeds according to the purpose for which the specific breed was developed. Some dogs are companion dogs and are good company. Some dog breeds are for the hunting purposes. Some dog breeds are developed as a guard dog for protection purpose. While some breeds are designed to do work like pulling carts. Different dog breeds have different physical characteristics.
